Relaxation (Swedish) massage
Light to medium pressure over the whole body, to help you unwind and switch off.

What is a relaxation massage?
A relaxation massage, often called a Swedish massage, uses long, flowing strokes with light to medium pressure over the whole body. The focus is on helping you relax and unwind, rather than working hard on one problem area.
Many people book one to take a break from a busy week, to help with everyday stress, or simply because it feels good.
Why people book a relaxation massage
- to unwind and de-stress
- to ease general muscle tension
- to feel rested and calm
- as a treat, or as a gift for someone else
What to expect
Your massage is in a private room. You undress to the level you are comfortable with and stay covered with towels the whole time, with only the area being massaged uncovered. Your therapist will check the pressure with you, and you are welcome to chat or simply rest.
Relaxation or remedial?
If you have a specific problem, like a sore neck or a niggling injury, a remedial massage is usually the better choice. If you mainly want to relax, choose relaxation. You can also ask for a bit of both.
Gift vouchers are emailed straight away and can be used for any of our massages. Gift vouchers and passes.

Common questions
How firm is a relaxation massage?
Light to medium. It should feel soothing, never painful. If you would like more or less pressure, just say so.
Can I claim a relaxation massage on my health fund?
Health funds usually cover remedial massage, and some only pay when the massage treats a specific problem. Check with your fund, or ask reception before you book.
Can I add hot stones?
Yes. Warm stones go well with a relaxation massage. A 60-minute massage with hot stones is $150. About hot stone massage.
Do I have to talk during the massage?
Not at all. Many people close their eyes and rest. Your therapist will only check in about pressure and comfort.
