Let's Get Functional
Your own gym program, for all ages, built around your goals and any injuries.

Who is this class for?
Let's Get Functional is for people of all ages who want exercise and advice that fits their goals, taking into account any injuries or conditions. It suits you if you want to get back to everyday things you can't do at the moment, or if you want to keep or build your fitness and strength.
What happens in the class
Everyone has their own written exercise program, done in a small group with a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist. Your program covers what you need, such as strength, balance, muscle weakness, flexibility and pain.
This class uses gym equipment such as weights and cardio machines. The clinician progresses or adjusts your program each time you come, depending on how you feel on the day.

Common questions
What does "functional" mean?
Exercise that helps with the things you do every day, like getting up from a chair, carrying shopping, climbing stairs or getting back to sport.
I have never used gym equipment. Is that OK?
Yes. The clinician shows you how to use everything safely, and your program starts at the right level for you.
Is it the same as a personal training session?
It is supervised by a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist, who can work around injuries and health conditions, in a small group of up to 8 people.
