Advanced Strength and Mobility
A harder mat and strength class for people with a good fitness level.

Who is this class for?
Advanced Strength and Mobility (formerly Intermediate to Advanced Pilates) is for people with a good fitness level who want more of a challenge. It builds on core strength and control.
If you are new to this kind of exercise, start with Strength and Mobility first.
What happens in the class
The class can include mat exercises, fitballs, rings, Pilates balls, weights and bands. Although it is a harder class, the physiotherapist or exercise physiologist will still adjust any exercise you find too hard or too easy.
Class details
- Length: 45 minutes
- Group size: up to 8 people
- Run by: one of our physiotherapists or exercise physiologists
- Price: $30 a class, or $25 a class on a class pass
What to bring
- Your own exercise mat if you like (we also provide mats)
- A towel
- A water bottle (we also have a water station)
- Comfortable clothes
Book a 30-minute class assessment ($50) with one of our physiotherapists or exercise physiologists. We check what you can do safely, talk about your goals and put you in the right class. When booking online, choose Exercise Physiology, then the pre-class assessment. Private health rebates may apply, depending on your fund and cover.

Common questions
How do I know if I am ready for this class?
If Strength and Mobility feels easy, ask your clinician. They can also tell you at your class assessment which class suits you.
What if an exercise is too hard on the day?
Just say so. The clinician will give you an easier version. Every exercise has options.
Is this class good for sport?
It builds the core strength and control that most sports need, so many people use it alongside their training.
