Pregnancy care
Physiotherapy for aches and pains during pregnancy, and help getting back to exercise after your baby arrives.
Your body is doing something remarkable
During pregnancy your breathing speeds up, your blood volume increases and your feet and ankles may swell. Your posture changes to balance your bump, and a hormone called relaxin loosens your ligaments and joints, especially around the pelvis, to prepare for birth.
These changes are normal, but for many women they bring aches and pains that make everyday life harder. Physiotherapy and massage can help you stay comfortable and active.

Physiotherapy during pregnancy
A physiotherapist can help with pregnancy-related:
- lower back pain
- pelvic girdle pain, including pain at the front of the pelvis or in the buttocks
- rib, upper back and neck pain
- wrist and hand pain, such as carpal tunnel symptoms
Treatment may include hands-on care, gentle exercises, advice on support belts or compression garments, and safe ways to stay active and move through your day.

Pregnancy massage
When your body is focused on your baby, it is good to have someone focus on you. Pregnancy massage may help you relax, sleep better and ease muscle aches and swelling.
Our massage therapists tailor each massage to you. With our special pregnancy pillows you can lie on your stomach, or on your side if you prefer.
A 60-minute pregnancy massage is $145. More about massage.
We don't recommend massage in the first trimester (the first 12 weeks). Please check with your doctor or midwife first if you have a high-risk pregnancy, a history of miscarriage, a blood clot, bleeding, severe morning sickness or sudden swelling.

Physiotherapy and remedial massage are usually covered on extras cover. Bring your card and claim on the spot.
