Physiotherapy

Hands-on treatment for pain, injuries and stiffness. One physio, one private room, the whole appointment.

Who it helps

Most people come to us with a sore back or neck, a shoulder that won't lift, a knee that won't bend, or a body that isn't recovering the way it used to. Physiotherapists are university-trained health professionals who assess, treat and help prevent problems with muscles, bones, joints and nerves.

We treat the whole way you move, not just the spot that hurts. All our physiotherapists use the ConnectTherapy approach, which looks at how different parts of your body affect each other. We use our hands more than machines.

Common problems we treat include back and neck pain, headaches, sprains and strains, arthritis, bursitis, nerve pain, poor balance, sports and work injuries, and recovery after surgery. See the conditions we treat.

Do I need a referral?

No. Private patients can book straight in. If you have a Medicare care plan from your GP, bring your referral to your first visit.

Hands first, machines second

You see one physiotherapist, in one private room, for the whole appointment. Your first visit is 60 minutes, so there is time to listen, assess properly and start treatment on the day.

Depending on what we find, treatment may include:

  • hands-on work to ease stiff joints and tight muscles
  • exercises to build strength, control and flexibility
  • advice on posture, work set-up and everyday movement
  • dry needling, if it suits you
  • taping or a brace, and walking aids if you need them

We also look at why the problem started, so you can keep it from coming back.

Common questions

How long is a physiotherapy appointment?

Your first appointment is 60 minutes. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. You see the same physiotherapist in a private room for the whole time.

Does dry needling hurt?

Most people feel a dull ache or a small twitch in the muscle rather than a sharp pain, and it settles quickly. We only use it if it suits your problem and you are comfortable with it.

Will I get exercises to do at home?

Yes. A short, simple plan. Two or three exercises done well beat a long list.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on the problem. We will give you an honest estimate at your first visit and review it as you go.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes that let us see and move the sore area, for example shorts for a knee or hip problem.
